There are many who suffer from debilitating headaches or migraines everyday. If you are one then you know it is difficult to shake a headache once it gets hold of you. The pain can come in different forms and for different reasons. When you know what has caused a headache then you are already on your way to finding your headache cure.

Migraines are very painful. They last and last. They go away and then come right back and are often heralded by a vomiting feeling and sensitively to light and noise.

Try some of the over the counter medications. Some people respond well to Tylenol. Don’t be surprised if you do not. You should always talk with your doctor if pain persists. You may need a heavy duty pain solution that only a doctor can prescribe.

If your headache is not a migraine you have to continue to look for the source. I frequently have tension headaches. My neck and shoulders, as well as my eyes and head have pain. A massage can help and over the counter meds with my tension headaches. But as usual, finding the source of the pain can help it go away or just prevent them. Pain in your eyes could be related to poor eyesight therefore an optometrist should be scene.

Prevention is the best remedy available. Make sure your eye prescription is up to date, always wear your corrective lenses, and take a break from staring at your computer monitor at least every ten minutes.

If you just cannot find out why you are getting the headaches then at least use pain relievers. A cold compress or even a hot one can relieve pain. Get plenty of rest. My eyes often hurt when I haven’t gotten enough sleep. These simple natural cures will not help a pounding reoccurring headache.

Get your doctor involved. Also speak with your dentist and eye doctor. Be examined by a neurologist too. Even though you are experiencing very harsh headaches they may not be migraines. A persistent headache can point to a severe problem that you don’t even know you have.

You and your doctors must uncover the root of the problem. Permanent headache relief does not come in a bottle. A cure for migraines can come about when underlying medical issues or lifestyle habits are repaired. In any case don’t let it continue and interfere with your life. Get some help.

You hit the nail right on the head (no pun intended!). Too many headaches arise from neck pain and spasms. The sooner that comes under control, the faster the headaches resolve. And this includes migraines too! Good observation.
