Women often get to a certain stage in their lives when they honestly believe that their bodies are against them. Even if you have irregular cycles, you can still get hit with menstrual cramps, though some women get them worse than others. The condition of endometriosis can increase the debilitating effect as can the condition of PCOS.There does not seem to be any reason for those who feel no menstrual discomfort and those who experience regular agonizing effects. Relief from this pain is something many women search for but it needs to consistent.
It’s strange how your physician will often prescribe one of the most used remedies for menstrual cramp, and that is a pill. A tablet by the name of ‘Pamprin’ is used by many women who say it works wonders for them possibly because it was formulated for just that one reason. Now it is true to say that some women do not like taking any type of oral medication but perhaps it is now time to think about that stance.Perhaps you feel that you’re meant to experience this stomach pain but that isn’t the case. To make matters worse, menstrual cramps are only part of the problem if you are one of those individuals who also has to put up with nausea and a constant boated feeling.
I just didn’t want to continue enduring the pains almost every month so I started looking around for menstrual cramp relief remedies. Another problem is the irregularity of my menstrual cramps because some months it feels as if I am being given a bear hug and others where there is no discomfort at all. There are times when nothing seems to give me any menstrual cramp relief but someone suggested I try a heat pad on my stomach which worked quite well although sometimes it works better against my back. Recently I started using a heat pad which a friend suggested I try and has worked with some success at easing my menstrual cramp although I do have to vary where I place it for effectiveness; sometimes on my stomach and other times on my back. You may not have tried this for your menstrual cramp before but it is well worth giving it a go particularly if you haven’t had any success with pills.
Whilst these ideas may be ok for some women, others that have regular painful menstrual cramps each month may need to do something more permanent. Of course, this is more likely if you have to call in sick each month because the stomach pains are so intense. You can’t just let it go on every month so it may be wise to speak to your doctor and see what ideas he may have on helping menstrual cramp relief.
Your doctor may suggest using the contraceptive pill because he knows just how good it is at helping women who suffer each month with stomach cramps. The only time this probably won’t be the ideal solution is if you have planned to have a child in the near future in which case your doctor should be able to advise you further of any dangers and options to help ease your menstrual cramp situation.
