Also, using other ingredients you can find in a health food store like boric acid, tea tree oil, or even potassium sorbate can also help. While many women seem to think that they can only find relief through over the counter medications or prescriptions from their doctor, there are many great home remedies for yeast infections that are very effective.

A trip to the grocery store can help with yeast infections as well. Besides yogurt and buttermilk, some other great essential for treating the yeast might include garlic. Who does not have some form of garlic within their own kitchen at all times. Unless you are allergic, most households have garlic in some form. A pealed, fresh, garlic clove might be just what you need.

You’ll also find that cranberries are great for treating all kinds of infections, as well as yeast infections. They are often used for treating urinary tract infections as well. Since they help to prevent problems with bacteria, they are very effective to treating this kind of a problem.

There are some great home remedies that will help to relive some of your yeast infection symptoms as well. Aloe vera is great for relieving some of the itching when mixed with water, as is elm powder. Just remember that these are not cures, but they can make you feel a lot better by relieving some of the symptoms.

Some changes in your life can be helpful no matter what the reason is that you are dealing with a yeast infection. Making sure that you wear the proper underwear and avoiding scented soaps and lotions can make a huge difference. Just working to prevent yeast infections from occurring can help you avoid getting them so often.
